TransporTrades vs CrossTrade
Last verified: September 16, 2026 — from CrossTrade's published materials.
Side by side
| Capability | TransporTrades | CrossTrade |
|---|---|---|
| Leads with | Tradovate | NinjaTrader. CrossTrade leads with a NinjaTrader 8 desktop add-on installed alongside the platform, in addition to a cloud connection to Tradovate.Source for Leads with: crosstrade.io, opens in a new tab |
| Manual order entry | Built in | Chart-based order entry. CrossTrade documents executing trades directly from TradingView's charts or the DOM, with both routing through the copier to NinjaTrader 8. An order ticket inside CrossTrade's own dashboard is not addressed in the material we read on 2026-09-16.Source for Manual order entry: crosstrade.io, opens in a new tab |
| Group control acts on | Open positions and working orders | Group Copiers are documented as unified copying based on account type or strategy. What a group-level control acts on — open positions and working orders, or the copying itself — is not addressed in the documentation we read on 2026-09-16.Source for Group control acts on: crosstrade.io, opens in a new tab |
| Move a stop across a whole group | Yes | Yes, by copying. The copier runs independently of webhooks, so a trade you place by hand on the leader is copied, and an auto-sync engine checks follower alignment as often as every three seconds and corrects drift.Source for Move a stop across a whole group: crosstrade.io, opens in a new tab |
| Flatten a group's open positions in one action | Yes | A one-click flatten in the CrossTrade dashboard is not addressed in the documentation we read on 2026-09-14. Flatten is documented as a webhook command that can close positions and pending orders across accounts or for one instrument, and the Account Manager flattens on its own when a threshold or a scheduled time is reached.Source for Flatten a group's open positions in one action: crosstrade.io, opens in a new tab |
| Per-account result on a group order | Yes, with the reason | A per-account verdict with its reason on a copied order is not addressed in the copier documentation we read on 2026-09-16. Alert history records the outcome of the alert itself, with an error message on failure.Source for Per-account result on a group order: crosstrade.io, opens in a new tab |
| Automated risk rules | No | Yes. The Account Manager is documented as watching intraday profit and loss thresholds, a minimum profit floor and a trailing drawdown, and flattening the account as soon as the level is detected, with scheduled end-of-day flattening times and a session that resets at 6 PM ET.Source for Automated risk rules: crosstrade.io, opens in a new tab |

Every CrossTrade cell was checked against CrossTrade's public documentation, and the source is linked in each row. Where their documentation is silent we say so rather than calling it a no.
Where TransporTrades is different
- You can take the trade back. Flatten, cancel or move a stop from the same dashboard your alerts run through, and an edit on the Leader reaches every Follower.
- A duplicate alert stops with us. A repeated alert is fenced before it reaches your broker, so a retry doesn't become a second position.
- Every order keeps an audit trail: signal received, sent to broker, and filled — on our clock, and on the broker's.
What this means in practice
The closest product in the category, and the difference is narrow and specific. Both automate futures accounts, copy across them and ship a manual ticket. What differs is what a group control does. Ours reaches into the trade: a stop moved on the Leader lands on every Follower, and flatten closes the group's open positions.
Two things we don't have. No automated risk rules — no kill switch, no trailing drawdown, no trading windows. And we lead with Tradovate, so if your day starts in NinjaTrader the operational fit is different even though both platforms support both.
* Routing only. Order acceptance, execution, and fill outcomes are determined by your broker, exchange, market conditions, and other factors outside our control.
